A Memorable Programme
As so often, Democracy Now have produced a thought-provoking programme (21 March 2013). It tells the story of US ex-serviceman Tomas Young and also deals with the excellent documentary called Body of War. It also has fascinating footage of the Senate hearings in October 2002 in which 77 senators voted for war against Iraq and 23 voted against. One realises how inspiring senator Robert Byrd (now deceased) from West Virginia was. This one hour programme is one of the most moving I have seen, and I very much recommend it. If one wants more about that programme, or indeed many other subjects, then you can find so much information on the website itself, which is http://www.democracynow.org/.
