Floods of nonsense and fatuity

Readers in and outside the UK are probably aware of the asinine behaviour of our so-called "leading politicians" concerning the recent floods in parts of the UK. They've gone down to the areas affected together with the media scrum to show how committed and concerned they are. If I were a householder faced with a flooded home the last thing I would want is to see David Cameron, Ed Miliband or Nick Clegg getting in the way.

I have been given a link to Buzzfeed which has interesting pictures of our gormless politicians.

Please pass the sick bag on.

Heartening news from Democracy Now!

Again, I'm using my blog to "advertise" a recent broadcast from Democracy Now!, the useful US-based news outlet.

Here is the link to the broadcast of 18 February 2014:

As usual, several subjects are carried but perhaps the most useful are the interviews with Julian Assange, trapped in the Ecuadorian Embassy in London, and his lawyers who are doing a wonderful job.

Listen and be inspired!

Interesting tweet from Wikileaks

I have received an interesting tweet from Wikileaks concerning "dirty ticks" by the British government. Here is the link to the NBC article tweeted by Wikileaks:

I don't think the mainstream British media have mentioned this matter which is why I am putting it on my blog.

Note that there are links within it which are worth going to.

I haven't been invited to any honey traps recently but I'm ever hopeful... Please form an orderly queue if you have any good ideas.
