Release the Chilcot Inquiry!

Facts are stranger than fiction. The Chilcot Inquiry into why Britain went to war in Iraq was set up in 2009. It was expected to be reported in a year. 6 years have now past and there is no sign of it seeing the light of day. Most of us have an idea of why that might be. Do the names Tony Blair and Alistair Campbell appear in your mind?

It seems that the Chilcot Inquiry will not be published until after the General Election. That must be a huge relief to the Labour Party who were so deeply implicated in the War. Of course, the Tories supported Labour. The Tories and Labour always support each other's disastrous wars.

Luckily for them, the Lib Dems, SNP and Plaid Cymru (the Welsh Nationalist Party) all opposed the war as did millions of us ordinary citizens.

Please sign this petition and pass it on to others.

Thank you.

Wonderful speech by MLK

This posting concerns a very interesting speech made in London on 7 December 1954 by Dr Martin Luther King Jr. It's only just been discovered in the Pacifica radio archives. It's a really wonderful speech by MLK with his typical oratory, fine diction and delivery techniques as well as the content.

This will inspire you. If it doesn't, then you're not worth inspiring!

38 Degrees

Good morning.

For a few years now I have been a member of 38 Degrees. This is a non-party political widespread pressure group for people interested in participating in society especially where the established political parties are not functioning.

So early in the New Year I would like you to contemplate becoming informed about 38 Degrees. To this end here's a link to their website. I suggest that you become informed and perhaps even make a small monthly donation by direct debit.

38 Degrees

Why it's called 38 degrees I just don't know.

Interview with Julian Assange

It seems that this interview by Amy Goodman of Democracy Now! of Julian Assange was conducted in July 2014. It mentions his new book. This interview is worth listening to. We hear little on the BBC on what is happening in regards to JA. Here is the link:
